Blogging: A Legitimate Way to Make Money Online

There are a lot of get-rich-quick-online schemes out there on the Web, promising thousands of dollars a week for part-time work from the comfort of your home. Well, just because those schemes may be scams doesn’t mean there aren’t many legitimate ways to make money online. It usually involves more than stuffing envelopes. It can be fun and easy to make money blogging. Here are a few sites that help bloggers make money doing something they enjoy.

1. Bucks2Blog

Bucks2Blog makes it easy to find advertisers who will pay you to write articles for them on your blog. After signing up with Bucks2Blog, they will send you emails with a list of topics to blog about for money. You can choose which opportunities to apply for based on your interests. You just have to agree to put a link to the business (it’s always related to the content).

2. GigCoin

GigCoin may not provide as many job opportunities as some other sites, but you do get the advantage of receiving compensation as soon as your work is approved. Advertisers prepay enough to cover the jobs they post so you can get paid immediately. You can sign up free, and once you've registered you can pitch your services to others in addition to applying for the jobs posted on the site.

3. Broadcast Bloggers Broadcast Bloggers is a newcomer but looks promising. You can sign up and look for paid jobs if you have at least 200 readers a week. Anyone can participate in “bling.” If you tweet, Facebook or blog someone else’s blog post then you can win prizes called bling. Right now there aren’t many jobs and the site features are still being fine tuned, but it’s starting to pick up and could be promising.

4. Google AdSense I’m sure you’ve heard of AdSense because it’s been around a long time and is backed by Google. By putting some code on your blog and showing ads, you can steadily make a bit of income from your blogging. Each time a visitor clicks an ad on your site, you’ll get a small payment (usually a few cents), and these cents can add up to significant dollars over time. Just do not click on your own ads or ask someone else to or you can be banned from AdSense forever and it can be near impossible to get re-admitted.

Important Tips for Making Money Blogging: Be sure to review the terms before you accept a job. FTC rules require you to disclose that you are paid or received something free in exchange for your blog post. Make sure the job fits your skills and readers (don’t burn bridges with your readers just for a few bucks).
