One Surefire Tip for Doubling Your Blogging Frequency
I've been around social media and blogging for a long time. I've seen networks rise and fall and blogs grow from one reader to thousands. Everyone hears how they should have a blog for their business and some intrepid owners take the plunge and make one. Soon after starting up a blog everyone feels the pains of a writer- of wanting and needing to push more helpful information out but not knowing where to begin or go to next.
At times, blogging isn't easy, but there is something you can do that makes new blog posts a lot easier to come by. Nearly everyone I see running a business online shares links with their social networks or their followers. This is a perfectly natural thing to do but this is one way to improve sharing- add your own commentary.

The biggest mistake I see people and businesses make is failing to capitalize on the opportunity to add their own commentary to the links they share. You can do this by dedicating a blog post to the subject of each link you share. In this post you simply summarize what is contained in the link, and add your own opinion or communicate what you want your followers to get from this particular piece. You have a reason for sharing this link in the first place, expressing that properly is fairly hard to do within the constraint of what is typically allowable on social networks.
So why should you devote a blog post to links you share?
Traffic – Anyone who wants to see what's at the end of this link will need to go through your website. This means you're getting your business in front of more people, more often.
Posting Frequency – Search engines love websites that update more frequently and by constantly updating on a large variety of topics you're expanding your search engine net. You'll likely see an increase in search engine traffic over time as well.
Branding – By throwing your two cents out about every topic you share, you're also putting yourself out there. This adds up and creates a clearer picture of who you are and what your business is about.
