The Pregnant Entrepreneur Book Review
The Pregnant Entrepreneur, written by Darla DeMorrow, is targeted to pregnant women who either have their own businesses or are considering starting their own business. However, it is also an invaluable resource for any self-employed, stay-at-home, working, or student mom.
The Pregnant Entrepreneur is a Unique Business Resource For Moms Full of Solutions
One thing that I truly appreciated about The Pregnant Entrepreneur is that it is written my a real mom entrepreneur who has already gone through the growing pains of growing her own business while growing her baby and she shares all that she learned with you. Not only does Darla DeMorrow have a MBA she is also a certified professional organizer (CPO®), speaker, and owner of HeartWork Organizing. When reading her book, I appreciated her business acumen and her ability to share it in such an organized, clear fashion. She is able to share action plans with you and help you take a realistic look at being a mother and having a business.
Many women on becoming pregnant are forced to take a closer look at their career and figure out how best they will juggle their new responsibilities. Many mothers want to try their hand at something new and need to learn some basic business skills and help getting started. The Pregnant Entrepreneur offers many tools to succeed in their new business. The Pregnant Entrepreneur covers creating a simple business plan, ideas for bookkeeping help, developing a marketing strategy, help with child care issues, stress management tips, office organization tips and more. These realistic and practical tips to help keep your business and your pregnancy on track are really invaluable.
Two aspects of the book that I especially enjoyed were critical questions and case studies. The critical questions at the end of each chapter help motivate and inspire the reader. The real examples of mom success stories are also inspirational and educational.
"Your audience of moms and moms-to-be are going to love this fantastic, clever, unique answer to their all of their questions. It might just take the stress out of one of the most stressful challenges of becoming a new mom – combining a work life with motherhood." -Claudine Wolk, Help4NewMoms.com
